A Japanese manga artist. After working as an assistant for Yoshihiro Takahashi, he made his debut as a manga artist in 1978 with the title “Shonen Shoubushi Ken”. Introduced by Yoshihiro Takahashi’s teacher Hiroshi Motomiya, “Shiritsu Kiwamemichi Koko” was published in “Weekly Shonen Jump” in 1979. It became a popular serialized work and made Akira Miyashita’s name famous. After that, he continued to release popular work such as “Geki!! Gokutora Ikka”, “Ah!! Bisha-mon koukou” and “ Bogie THE GREAT”. Among them, “Sakigake!! Otokojuku”, which was released in 1985, became the biggest hit, and was made into a TV animation and live-action movie with many sequels and spin-offs.
