Mikimoto is a Japanese character designer, illustrator, and manga artist. He worked as a character designer and animation director for TV anime Super Dimension Fortress Macross while still a college student. Also known for works such as Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket (Character Design) and Gunbuster (Character Design). He provided illustrations for Shin Rodosu Tosenki, Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash and more. He recently worked as a character designer for Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.
